Senior Finance Business Partner – Binge

Our Commercial Finance team operate in a fast-paced, ever-evolving and inherently complex industry. We have built a commercial partnering capability where our teams are embedded in the business, providing a ‘seat at the table’ for all critical business decisions through analysis, business case assessment and driver-based planning and forecasting.

This team is responsible for partnering end-to-end with the Executive Office on strategy and execution, delivering financial modelling, and providing analysis and advice on key projects and initiatives.

We’re currently looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to play a significant impact in supporting plans and performance in our BINGE team. This position will be for a 12 month Fixed term - maternity leave cover.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will combine, synthesise and transform financial and non-financial information into insights, understand the drivers that impact the business and use these insights to support effective decisions and contribute to the ongoing success of the Foxtel business. This role will see you partnering with the BINGE business unit, helping them navigate market and financial information to create commercial value.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Lead, own and manage the financial planning process for BINGE including subscription revenue and operating costs including marketing and overheads
• Partnering end-to-end with the business on strategy and execution, delivering financial modelling, providing analysis and advice on key projects and initiatives, and leading best in class budget and planning processes to support business and financial performance
• Monitor and understand the commercial operations and results of your business unit, identifying key issues and challenges, and helping to optimise financial outcomes
• Work with the BINGE business and wider finance team to enable effective decision support, from identifying opportunities for transformation through to improving financial models and processes
• Build strong relationships with your business leaders to develop a deep understanding of business issues and work in partnership to co-create solutions for growth
• Own and contribute to presentation summaries and outputs suitable for senior stakeholders
• Mentor the team and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business and the wider finance community

Your experience and capability

• 8 Years + experience Big 4 / Mid Tier background, or in a similar Commercial Finance role (Media, Network or Advertising experience highly desirable)
• Valuation creation mind-set – ability to identify opportunities to optimise investments and add value
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to lead and build trusted relationships across the business
• Comfortable synthesising complex information and distilling into key insights and actions for management
• Ability to translate how activity drivers and choices translate to revenue outcomes
• Commercial mindset and strong influencing skills
• Comfortable navigating though a changing and complex environment and adapting to challenges and opportunities as they arise
