The Role Due to an internal promotion within our Social Infrastructure and Local Government team, we are seeking a Senior Finance Manager based in Victoria or New South Wales.
The Senior Finance Manager is a key partner to the Sector CFO and business unit Managers to ensure strong financial governance within projects and to drive consistent profit & cash performance across their responsible project portfolio.
This role is also accountable for driving Business Unit earnings in line with market expectations and enterprise strategy.
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate and partner with the Sector CFO, EGMs’, GMs’ and Senior Leadership teams to deliver the Sector and Business Unit strategy and close the gap between performance and business unit targets, both cash and margin.
- Advocate and lead the use of Vensights, value drivers, KPIs and data driven metrics to improve financial performance through commercially sound decision making and analysis, including cash, balance sheet, project and customer profitability and risk analysis.
- Provide financial advice to BU and project management to drive delivery of project improvement plans and embed culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership to project finance staff across responsible project portfolio, developing & embedding systems & processes to drive performance and consistency.
- Drive completion of monthly and yearly reporting requirements and monthly project review process, including ensuring actions and exceptions are captured and executed.
- Review and endorsement of Key Work Winning opportunities from bid to mobilisation including completion of mobilisation checklist, cashflows, pricing, profitability, margin analysis and commercial terms.
About You To be successful you will hold relevant qualifications and experience working within a large multifaceted organisation accompanied with:
- A strong understanding of key drivers in project financial performance
- Be strongly geared towards value creation and driven cash focus
- Have a excellent understanding of operational & financial performance relationships
- The ability to lead change in challenging and sometimes confronting circumstances
- Proven track record of developing financial acumen in team members and non-finance staff
