The Finance Service Delivery team facilitates the purchasing of goods and services by authorised University users. Acting as the first line of defence against fraud, this team also manages vendor relations and oversees accounts payable functions, including payment validation and processing.

The Senior Finance Officer will ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, provide detailed advice on finance policies and systems, and collaborate to resolve complex finance issues. Committed to high-quality service, you will work collaboratively with Campus Life, your team and the broader Finance Service Delivery. The Senior Finance Officer also understands and manages the University's Fraud and Corruption Control Framework effectively.

As a Senior Finance Officer you will;

• Manage and protect Griffith University’s financial integrity, ensuring regulatory and reporting compliance. Provide accurate charge information on vendor invoices and update Archibus for payment accuracy.
• Oversee complex account processing and reconciliation, implement finance policies and controls, and create and maintain Purchase and Open Orders for the Office of Facilities Management.
• Handle operational issues, manage workloads and priorities, and collaborate with the greater Finance team and the Office of Facilities Management.

To be successful in this role you will have;

• Diploma qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. 
• Ability to work autonomously with a high level of attention to detail. 
• Capability to identify solutions and undertake quality control activities.
• Excellent communication skills, effective collaboration skills and a positive outlook on challenges. 
• Competence in using systems such as Excel, Power BI and Sharepoint.
• Familiarity with finance management systems, such as Archibus and Peoplesoft is highly regarded.

What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position and can be based at the Griffith University Nathan or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $76,236 - $85,525 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $89,197 - $100,064 per annum.
