Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Finance and Procurement team as Senior Finance and Procurement Officer on a full-time, ongoing basis. Reporting to the Principal Procurement Advisor, the Senior Finance and Procurement Officer provides expert advice on reporting, budgeting, procurement, and forecasting across IBAC to support informed decision making and improve procurement, financial and contract management service delivery.
Duties include:
- Supporting the Principal Procurement Advisor to oversee and quality assure procurement and contract management activities, ensuring full compliance with IBAC's Procurement and Contract Management Policy and practices.
- Providing advice across the organisation in line with finance, procurement and contract policies and procedures, and administer IBAC's Contracts Register.
- Undertaking data analytics and reporting for the finance, procurement, and contracts functions.
- Providing high level advice to senior executive and staff regarding the development and monitoring of budgets and performance to ensure best practice and quality financial management outcomes
- General accounting tasks as required for month and financial year end.
Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or finance (mandatory).
- Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to provide sound, accurate advice in a professional manner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts and standards, purchasing and procurement, and contract management policies, legislative requirements, and delegations - ideally within a Victorian Public Sector (VPS) environment
