Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance your role will be to:
Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation process for the group including the preparation of all financial statements and reporting packages.
Oversee the preparation of the annual report, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyse cash flow activities and prepare regular cash flow forecasts.
Continuously improve financial reporting systems and processes, including identifying opportunities for automation.
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Prepare and present regular board reports, including analysis of financial performance and key financial metrics.
Manage the relationship with external auditors and assist in the coordination of the annual audit.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including ASIC and ASX reporting obligations.
Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives as required
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate may be an experienced Accountant in either industry or a large CA firm looking for their next exciting role. Some of the key selection criteria includes:
Strong understanding of financial reporting and consolidation principles, with experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
Experience in managing and analysing cash flow, with the ability to prepare cash flow forecasts.
Demonstrated ability to improve financial reporting systems and processes through the implementation of automation and other tools.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business and with external parties.
CA or CPA qualified.
Proficiency in Power BI or similar tools, with the ability to create insightful and interactive dashboards
