AddressCurrent Opportunity - Senior Financial Accountant
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our national finance team at BDO. In this role, you will be an integral part of our growing finance team, offering exposure to see a firm undergoing a new system implementation, internal process reviews and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and automation.
Key responsibilities:
- Completing month end tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and processing journal entries
- Assistance with review of the monthly reporting, including variance analysis
- Assisting the Financial Accounting team with various accounting related projects
- Identify and implement improvements to our internal processes and workpapers
- Working collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and continually improve our processes
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 4-5+ years relevant experience in professional services
- Experience with Great Plains (preferred but not essential)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with Power Query experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, think critically about processes, and identify efficiencies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
