AddressWe are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for our client within the health/aged care industry. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing the financial operations of facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing financial performance.
Your role responsibilities will include but not limited to budgeting and forecasting, board preparation packs for CFO review, Full month end process, cashflow forecast and analysis and experience with large group reporting. Full time role located in Brisbane CBD.
Role responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
- Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate measures
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing insights and recommendations
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Monitor and reconcile accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to streamline financial operations
- Support to Payroll
- GJ Journals and Accruals
- Fixed asset management
- Job costing data entry
- Generating and reviewing invoices
- AP, AR,
- Cash position reporting
- Ad hoc financial accounting
- Assist with new system implementation
- CPA or CA qualified.
- Degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or Similar
- Demonstrated experience or ability to learn this role
- Experience with finance/commercial aspects on large projects, preferably in an infrastructure environment.
- Demonstrated management accounting experience, with some experience in modelling, planning, budgeting, reporting and ERP systems.
- Eye for detail and non-compromising on accuracy.
- Logical mindset for problem solving and working with others.
