Senior Financial Accountant

This client’s business was founded in 2016, having identified a significant and exciting B2B niche opportunity servicing industrial and retail clients with innovative transport and logistic solutions. Their clients include major ASX-listed brands, providing them with repeatable growth opportunities across distribution networks. With funding secured and operations profitable, the focus of this key role is to drive new standards across all financial reporting, and systems development required to support their well-planned expansion. This business embraces a flexible, inclusive culture and encourages initiative and innovation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this person will provide strong technical financial and commercial capability and be a key member of the leadership group supporting business development activities, the operational leaders, and external stakeholders. Other core responsibilities will include.

• Delivery of accurate and timely statutory financial reporting.
• Taking a lead role in the development of financial systems and procedures.
• Support business performance and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure all financial, regulatory, and statutory reporting obligations are met.
• Manage the budgeting process, cash-flow reporting, and reconciliations.
• Assisting with the preparation of documents for grants and subsidies.

Candidates will likely have 3-5 years of professional/commercial experience. Exposure to operating technology businesses would be invaluable as would sector experience in transport, logistics, and retail distribution. Developed interpersonal, communication, and time-management abilities are also important. The right person will be CA/CPA qualified with a blend of professional and commercial experience. An attractive compensation package will be negotiated with the right person.
