Senior Financial Accountant (6-Month Contract) - ASAP Start
An exciting opportunity for an immediately available Senior Financial Accountant to join a leading retail organization.
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving accurate financial reporting, conducting in-depth P&L variance analysis, and supporting various financial functions within the organization.
Job Duties:
Analyze monthly P&L variances and provide detailed commentary to senior finance leadership, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Prepare month-end journals and conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Maintain the fixed asset register and associated reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Prepare capital spend reporting and collaborate with business units to ensure effective control over capital expenditures, contributing to financial efficiency and accountability.
Manage prepayment reconciliations and journals, ensuring accurate recognition and reporting of prepaid expenses to support financial transparency and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support forecasting activities and provide analytical support to business partners, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Experience Needed:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent qualification.
CA or CPA qualified, or actively working towards one of these qualifications.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a financial accounting role, demonstrating proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Intermediate MS Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively.
Self-motivated individual with initiative and a strong sense of accountability for deliverables.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
