Senior Geotechnical Engineer Northern Star Resources have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead the Geotechnical Team at our world-class Kalgoorlie Operations, on a 5/2 - 4/3 10 hour per day residential roster. What’s the role on offer? As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Kanowna Belle, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to the mining operations with regards to mine planning, designs and geotechnical support to optimise the mine operations. You will also be responsible for: Provide geotechnical support and assistance to site. Support site with key project work. Propose safe and efficient mining plans to key site personnel. Ensure compliance with relevant Company and Statutory requirements. Review and update Ground Control Management Plan/s (GCMP) regularly. Carry out geotechnical evaluations, risk assessments and make geotechnical recommendations. Investigate geotechnical occurrences and issues and make recommendations for solutions. Look for, assess, and implement Business Improvement opportunities. Engage with site personnel on a regular basis to determine specialist geotechnical requirements. Provide support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to Geotechnical Engineer/s. Build effective communication and networks with the Mining Department. Prepare month-end reports documenting key activities/issues occurring in the month and submit to relevant personnel. Why join Northern Star Resources?
