To support the Deputy Company Secretary, Suncorp Bank in providing governance services to the Suncorp Bank Group.
Completion of ANZ’s acquisition of Suncorp Bank remains subject to legislative amendments by the Queensland Parliament and approval by the Federal Treasurer. Assuming these conditions are satisfied, completion of the acquisition is expected to occur in or around mid-calendar year 2024.
What will your day look like
Providing corporate governance services with a focus on ASX Listing Rule and Corporations Act requirements, including in relation to the following areas:
- Assisting with managing Suncorp Bank subsidiary governance activities, including relevant ASX obligations for Listed Trusts, and attendance at subsidiary Board meetings as appropriate;
- Suncorp Bank input into all corporate governance and financial reporting matters;
- Liaising with Suncorp Bank personnel on AFSL / credit license filings, Powers of Attorney maintenance and queries;
- Assisting the Deputy Company Secretary, Suncorp Bank on all governance matters; and
- Maintaining regulatory registers for Suncorp Bank group of entities.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have skills, knowledge and experience in the following:
- Proven ability to foster and develop excellent relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities.
- Subsidiary governance expertise, including compliance with Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule requirements.
- Other governance experience/qualifications a benefit.
