The role:
Our growing Assurance team is seeking a Senior Group Assurance Manager to lead the planning, execution and reporting of internal audit work focusing on Major Projects, and collaborating with other team members on the implementation of the internal audit plan across the Snowy Hydro Group.
You will have responsibility for providing assurance and value add services on aspects of internal control, governance and risk management. This includes supporting the development and operationalisation of the Assurance Framework and Strategy and ensuring optimal balance (cost/benefit analysis) of recommended improvement opportunities. This is a highly regarded senior position within Snowy Hydro that requires courage, high ethical standards and a collaborative mindset whilst maintaining independence.
The role can be Sydney or Melbourne based and reports into the Group Head of Assurance.
We're looking for someone with:
A relevant Bachelor's Degree & CA/ CPA, CIA or equivalent qualification
12+ years experience from a combination of audit and major project positions
Comprehensive understanding of internal audit principles, methodologies and risk based auditing
Experience working on Major Construction or Infrastructure Project(s)
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including presenting to Executives or Management Committees.
Versatile interpersonal skills and communication styles to facilitate a healthy and constructive working relationship with stakeholders.
Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
An understanding of the energy sector and applicable regulatory requirements is desirable
