As Senior Information Officer, you will specifically:
- Extract, analyse, interpret, and present complex data sets for distribution to internal and external clients in response to on-demand requests and regular internal, external, and corporate reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence and data visualisation solutions to present departmental data and statistics in an accessible and user-friendly manner for distribution to internal and external clients.
- Develop and maintain data collection processes in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and expert advice to staff on data-related procurement, projects and the appropriate use, interpretation, and presentation of data.
- Maintain knowledge of best practice data management techniques to ensure data presentation and sharing meets customer needs.
- Liaise with other departmental officers, other government departments and the wider community to manage expectations, gain a broader knowledge of user needs/desires and to identify data sharing opportunities.
