About the role
At Public Trustee Brisbane, our Information and Technology branch stands as the cornerstone of digital innovation and efficient service delivery. Comprising multifaceted teams specialising in Information Management, ICT Service Delivery, Vendor Management, Security and Business Resilience, Application Support, and Business Engagement, we are committed to excellence in every facet of our operations.
As a Senior Information Management Officer, you will spearhead our efforts to uphold information governance, streamline records management, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as the Public Records Act 2002. Your role will be pivotal in leading the sentencing and disposal of Public Trustee records, maintaining an extensive understanding of our record classes, and supervising Information Management staff to ensure optimal service delivery. Moreover, you will act as the vital link between various business units and the Information Management team, overseeing tasks such as mail and courier services, as well as the retrieval of physical files from Basement, Brendale, Offsite Storage and Queensland State Archives.
About you
You possess robust analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with a customer focus and a collaborative approach to team dynamics. Your keys to success include:
- Proven background and expertise in Information and Records Management, aligning practices with strategic direction and architecture.
- Strong technical skills to guide the organisation in Information Management best practices, ensuring compliance with ICT policies and standards.
- Leadership capabilities for sentencing and disposal of records in compliance with Queensland State Archives (QSA) guidelines, coupled with a track record of supervising and coordinating Information Management staff to achieve service levels.
- Effectiveness in engaging, facilitating, and delivering virtual and face-to-face training on Information Management and Information Management systems.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, influencing, promoting, and driving high-performance Information Management initiatives.
- Commitment to maintaining contemporary industry knowledge of Information Management and recordkeeping practices, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
