AddressThe Opportunity:
Newly created role due to QIC's investment teams being asked to provide further information on the investment portfolios they manage, including performance analysis and attributions.
This is a full-time position on either on a 6 or 12 month contract. While preferably based in Brisbane, we are open to considering candidates in Sydney and Melbourne.
The key accountabilities are not limited to but include:
Leadership and People Management
- Manage operational relationships with the investment team and other stakeholders ensuring agreed performance related service deliverables have been undertaken in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Negotiate additional performance measurement requirements and provide cost effective and innovative solutions including identifying and removing inefficiencies.
- Contribute towards the continual improvement of QIC's Investment Performance Analysis ensuring methodologies and processes are aligned with Industry best practice.
Performance Analytics
- Involvement in identifying, managing, implementing, and testing configuration changes within the Eagle Performance system to meet new or changed business requirements.
- Implemented scalable efficient non excel solutions where Eagle isn't viable.
- Identification and management of risks and issues for QIC's additional State Investment performance service to ensure high quality processes and controls are in place to mitigate risk and errors.
- Data validation and rectification.
- Continually identify potential improvements for the business area's current and future requirements and that they align with corporate objectives.
External Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients through a to ensure timely and accurate delivery of advice and documentation relating to the clients.
- Identify any potential risk issues for performance services and assist in the development of risk mitigation and management strategies.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Math related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Investment Performance analytics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Investment Performance evaluation techniques and associated systems.
- Knowledge of investment industry performance standards.
- Strong data modelling skills.
- Highly skilled in Excel.
