Senior Learning Designer

What’s your purpose:

To design and deliver learning material such as courses and workshops in technology disciplines across our portfolio of Human Centred Design (HCD), Technology, Data, Business and AI, for Enterprise customers and consumer audiences. 

What you’ll do:

• Using learning/instructional design principles, you will develop course and workshop materials, including learning content, assessments and marking guides, and other ancillary resources.
• Scope new courses and workshops, and build learning frameworks through engagement, research, consultation and collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) 
• Develop course structures, schedules, plans and module flows as per Academy Xi online formats and one to multi-day workshop formats. 
• Interpret technical materials for learning purposes.
• Create rich media course content in collaboration with creative media contractors and SMEs (video, written content, audio, dynamic and static visual assets, infographics etc)
• Quality-check course work for clarity, flow, accuracy, usability and accessibility, and audit existing content when required
• Collaborate with AXi marketing team to develop course guides, and provide product information to the AXi sales team
• Develop any necessary operational or “back of house” learning support documentation (mentor guides, marking templates, onboarding instructions) or processes
• Produce the appropriate materials for delivery via presentation slides or our LMS.

Who you are:

Essential skills:

• Online/eLearning and/or education/instructional design across a variety of short-medium-long training formats (including self-paced, and instructor-led) 
• Ability to break down complex technological concepts into simple, easy-to-understand workshop or course content
• A comfortable understanding of topics through experience with at least some of the courses we offer across HCD, business, technology, data and AI.
• Experience with LMS technology (our current LMS is NovoEd) - basic HTML/CSS, Adobe CS, and Canva skills also well-regarded
• Strong collaboration skills, particularly in managing SMEs and contractors
• Sophisticated/high-level written communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Research skills
• Ability to adapt and adopt and work with agility to meet client demands
