What’s the job?
We are offering an opportunity to help shape Australia’s newest Psychology School, as a permanent Full Time Senior Lecturer (Senior Learning Facillitator) at Torrens University. The role will be based in our Melbourne city campus and will include on campus as well as online teaching, subject development, and subject coordination in our new Bachelor of Psychological Science degree, as well as research and course planning and development roles. The Torrens School of Psychological Science features:
Whole student success focused learning and teaching, including professional success and life success as well as academic success.
Flexible entry pathways and course progression opportunities.
A Bachelor of Psychological Sciences degree which is a stand-alone professional qualification, equipping its graduates for a wide range of existing and emerging professions, as well as a potential pathway to further psychology degrees and registration as a psychologist.
Flexible state of the learning art delivery including next generation online and blended learning, and inclusion of Virtual Reality content and real-life challenge based learning.

This is a permanent full time role based at Flinders Street Campus, Melbourne and available to start immediately.
Who you are:
To be successful in this role you will be:
PhD in Psychology
Experience in education / training and assessment in psychology
Sound understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the discipline that is being taught
A track record in research activity within the broad discipline of psychology commensurate with experience
Understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles relevant to the student cohort being taught.
Sound understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in psychology
Ability to work competently and harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds
Computer literacy in appropriate discipline-specific and learning technologies as per business requirements
High service ethos and work commitment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
