The role of the Senior Psychologist is to support the Director, Organisational Psychology, to maintain a range of psychological services in support of the business and operational objectives of the ACIC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced psychologist to contribute to Australian’s national interests.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform complex psychological suitability assessments and provide verbal and written analysis that synthesises information derived from a range of sources
- Be accountable for accurate completion of work within time frames and quality requirements
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have the capacity to build and sustain relationships with key internal stakeholders to progress psychological risk mitigation controls.

- Be accountable for working alongside other EL1 Senior Psychologists.
- General registration as a psychologist (unconditional) with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA)
- Master degree or equivalent in Clinical, Forensic or Organisational Psychology
- 5 years post registration experience
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Psychological Society.
- Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
- Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
- Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
- Vaccination Status – To be eligible to work at the ACIC, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
