Our opportunity
As Senior Management Accountant, you will partner with the Design, Sales & Marketing service lines, supporting them in achieving their respective financial performance goals and delivering on their strategy with responsibility for the preparation of budgets and forecasts, month end reporting and analysis, overhead resource management and other ad hoc tasks as required.
In this role you will:
- Early and consistent engagement and partnership with key stakeholders across the service lines ensuring alignment on assumptions and deliverables.
- Monthly engagement with the business to manage overhead resourcing and recoveries to projects, in addition to updating the timesheet tool for payroll purposes.
- Regular engagement across finance teams to ensure financial reporting meets requirements.
- Regular engagement with sales team stakeholders in respect to data in the CRM system which is relied on for financial reporting purposes.
- Support the business with various project and initiative analyses, ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Support the respective Business Unit General Managers along with the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in execution of the strategy by providing analysis and insights to support informed decision making.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the service lines by partnering with the business, reviewing key assumptions, modeling in Anaplan and providing actionable commentary and insights to key stakeholders.
- Monthly preparation of actuals to budget P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, providing commentary on variances.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand changes in project deliverables and the impact on resource utilisation.
- Work with the team to ensure the data in the CRM system is updated regularly and can be relied on for financial reporting.
- Provide financial support for project initiatives and campaign analysis and modelling.
- Accountable for the review and maintenance of the general ledger for the service lines, including the preparation of some journals, reconciliation Sales & Marketing specific balance sheet accounts, and the collaboration with both the onshore and offshore Financial Control teams.
- Assist in the management of overhead resources for the service lines through the provision of timely reporting and analysis.
- Ensure robust and reliable controls are in place. Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve financial management processes to ensure efficient, transparent and effective processes.
- Work collaboratively with teams to ensure robust cashflow management and forecasting in place, building an improved focus on cashflow outcomes for the division.
- Ensure strong understanding of cash and capital impacts for all major decisions and investments.
- Work with the broader business and finance teams to ensure best practice is shared and leveraged across the team.
- Identify improvement opportunities, make recommendations, and help drive implementation of process changes.
Your point of difference
- CA/CPA qualified with prior experience in property development.
- High level communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong technical accounting and structuring skills.
- Good attention to detail and a clear capability to lead, motivate, manage and mentor finance team members.
