How will I help?

The Senior Manager, Divisional Engagement role exists to manage and lead a multi-brand team within the Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions Operations (AMLSO) to deliver compliance and customer outcomes across all Westpac Group brands.

To be successful in this role, you're accountable in managing AMLSO's engagement with all key stakeholders. They will be the key point of contact to create relationships with all other departments and all other enabling functions.

The Senior Manager, Divisional Engagement plays an integral role in the facilitation and development of a cohesive team environment and is responsible for ensuring the effective management of all business processes, people, risks and dependencies across the team.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Streamline and enhance AMLSO processes and workflow and foster collaboration and engagement across different AMLSO teams.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication channels with key stakeholders and gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs.
  • Develop and execute a clear vision and strategy for AMLSO and tailor objectives to meet the specific requirements of each division.
  • Manage and resolve issues and incidents impacting stakeholders and AMLSO and prioritize timely resolution and minimize disruptions.
  • Participate in internal and external forums as an AMLSO representative and act as advocate for AMLSO interests and collaborate with other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to reporting at all levels, providing valuable insights & gather and analyse data to inform decision-making and enhance performance.
  • Drive initiatives within AMLSO and across departments, evaluate processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies.
  • Maintain key metrics to ensure transparency and track progress.

What do I need?

  • Extensive across Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Finance & Sanctions Operations.
  • Understanding of overall business processes, support systems and tools - including AOM practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management for internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements.
  • Understanding and applying the principles of risk management.
