About the Role
The Senior Manager, Engagment leads the planning and development of integrated marketing and engagement campaigns to drive action, inspire Australians, grow the WWF supporter community and deliver on the organisational goals. This highly collaborative role works with multiple teams across the organisation to support conservation and advocacy objectives whilst integrating revenue and supporter growth outcomes.
Key Accountabilities (please refer to the Position Description for the full list)
  • Works with senior leaders to develop the campaign and activity roadmap and integrated calendar.
  • Leads, develops, implements and evaluates integrated campaigns and strategies for allocated key projects to deliver conservation impact, achieve goals, build the scale and influence of WWF's supporter community and strengthen the WWF brand.
  • Leads and coaches the Engagement Manager to build a highly skilled, collaborative and innovative team.
  • Establishes collaborative and integrated ways of working across teams and manages the tracking and measurement of associated project budgets.
  • Works with the Head of Communications to ensure public campaigns are informed by research, trend analysis, approved organisational positioning and message testing.
  • Acts as an Experience team focal point to coordinate communications support and organisational response to conservation announcements, milestones and issue management (related to conservation and advocacy).
  • Applies an agreed campaign planning process to methodically plan integrated campaigns, tracks results and prepares evaluation to better understand campaign effectiveness and impact.
  • Works with the Communications, Content and Conservation teams to ensure campaign key messages and creative is clear, compelling and drives action.
  • Works with the Communications, Content and Digital teams, to manage the development and delivery of communications deliverables as related to conservation projects and partners.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Demonstrated track record in planning and delivering engagement and policy-based advocacy campaigns against measurable outcomes, preferably relating to conservation.
  • Demonstrated advanced project management and campaign planning skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills including influencing, negotiation, listening and interpersonal skills within a cross cultural context.
  • Knowledge of public engagement and social marketing strategy, theory, best practice and innovation; ideally relating to behaviour change or social causes.
  • Strong knowledge of channel and advertising strategies and ability to help identify communications tactics suitable for different channels and audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible team based environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
