Risk Management is responsible for protecting the Group’s interests by offering insightful risk leadership and a commercial yet independent approach to managing risks. The Board and Regulators trust Risk Management to be the line of defence that ensures returns are achieved within an acceptable level of risk.
As a Senior Manager in CBA’s Retail Credit Risk division, you will be a key member in our retail Provisioning & Forecasting team - a critical function that ensures the continued success of CBA and our valued customers. You will manage a team of analysts and managers in the Loan Loss Provisioning and Forecasting function for CBA Retail Banking Services (RBS).
Here in Retail Banking Services Risk Management, we support a range of flexible ways of working including partial remote working, non-standard hours and part time employment.
On a day to day basis you will:
Deliver accurate, appropriate and insightful credit provisioning and forecasting, through reporting monthly Loan Impairment Expense (LIE) to CBA Group and Finance with insights that support the results.
Prepare models and assumptions for the forecasting of LIE on a monthly basis, assisting the Group Loan Loss Provisioning Committee, Group Risk and Finance on managing and budgeting LIE.
Support the RBS Credit Risk framework with a sound and adequate provisioning forecasting process for all retail products.
Use advanced knowledge of business and regulatory drivers to provide strategic insights and analysis to business unit partners and senior management on credit related issues.
Develop complex analytical credit risk metrics, technology-based tools and undertake data analysis to monitor, measure, and manage credit risk exposures.
Manage teams productively to meet deadlines and deliver value add insights; develops technical and organisational capability of the team.

Have exceptional academic qualifications in areas such as Financial Mathematics/Statistics, Credit Modelling, Computer Science, Applied Finance, Financial Statement Analysis or other relevant fields.
Come from a Banking & Finance background with experience in Credit Risk Management, ideally within Provisioning or Forecasting.
Make choices and sets priorities to meet the business needs, vision and strategy; and creates systems and tools that enable others to more easily share insights and best practices across organisational boundaries.
People management expertise coupled with business understanding and commercial judgement.
Ability to partner across teams, summarise issues, develop recommendations and make decisions.
Demonstrated expertise in SAS, SQL, R or other data science/analytics software.
Have the ability and drive to work in a high performing, fast paced environment.
