How will I help?
As a Senior Manager Prudential Reporting and Data, you'll find yourself in a key 2nd line role that comes with the responsibility of providing subject matter expertise (SME) support around the reporting process for the prudential standards owned by our Risk Analytics and Portfolio Insights team. You'll closely work with the Executive Manager, Prudential and Provisioning Governance, and their direct reports. Together, you'll take charge of acting as the Return Owner delegate at our quarterly Scrutiny Review Meetings (SRMs), leading the charge with the Prudential and Provisioning Governance team on matters related to data risk management of the prudential standards and returns, providing support in prudential reviews, and maintaining controls within the team to address any issues that arise.
Your day-to-day will involve offering SME support around the prudential standards reporting process, reviewing regulatory return information to identify and escalate discrepancies, maintaining the interpretations register, and ensuring ongoing compliance. You'll also need to stay on top of data quality issues, work with teams across Westpac to identify regulatory changes, and support projects implementing these changes. Your role will be crucial in leading the Prudential and Provisioning Governance team in data risk management and supporting projects and initiatives that impact prudential returns and Data.

What do I need?
You'll bring a solid foundation in risk management, skilled in data management identifying, managing, and remediating issues. Your regulatory and industry knowledge will be key, as will your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. We're looking for someone with a continuous improvement mindset, over 6 years of experience in reporting, credit, or data-related roles, who is self-directed, well-organised, and can manage their work to high quality and tight timelines. Your ability to build effective relationships, assimilate information quickly, and communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation will set you apart. If you're driven to deliver, determined, and resourceful, you'll find this role both challenging and rewarding.
