- Senior management and industry experience in a similar Regulatory Compliance or risk management role.
- Proven project management, continuous improvement and change management expertise ideally within Risk Transformation and maturity environment.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Certificate IV and/ or Graduate Certificate in Compliance Management will be advantageous.
- Ability to investigate breaches for remedial action and escalate to management as required.
- Ability to effectively communicate and educate all levels of management and staff in Regulatory Compliance policies, procedures and processes.
- Expert knowledge of key legislative and code requirements e.g. Corporations Act, FSRA, NCC; Code of Banking Practice, ePayments Code, APRA & ASIC requirements is highly desirable
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Group Regulatory Compliance within second line, the Senior Manager leads a small team. The role provides oversight, direction, guidance, support and assistance to the business in understanding and managing obligations, including embedding business controls and practices to ensure obligations are consistently met and financial services provided by the Group are delivered fairly, efficiently and honestly.
The role is responsible for the implementation and continuous advancement of the Regulatory Compliance framework, providing technical input and support to 1LOD businesses and senior management in relation to the effective management of obligations.
Within our highly collaborative environment you'll work alongside peers, including business customers and build internal and external relationships and establish yourself as a trusted adviser. Furthermore, the role requires a hands-on approach moving between the strategic and operational elements.
A full time permanent role, we offer flexible work options that put our people first, including a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week based out of our Head Offices.
