Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer

If you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer, reporting directly to the Mechanical Engineering Discipline Manager to join our team based in Perth, Western Australia on a permanent basis. 

This position will include a wide range of projects, both LNG and energy transition, ranging from pre-FEED through detailed design to installation and commissioning.   

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Manage the design of Mechanical and Piping systems on projects
• Input to project basis of design
• Develop datasheets, mechanical specifications and material requisitions for mechanical and piping components
• Conduct design calculations 
• Check mechanical/Piping Engineering deliverables in line with project, statutory and Technip Energies group rules
• Evaluate, and manage equipment vendors
• Interface with other engineering disciplines during project execution
• Participate in formal or informal reporting to Discipline Lead on progress of engineering tasks, budget and schedule progress, lessons learnt and resources
• Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to relevant discipline engineering.

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements. 

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering from reputable institution, for instance as recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia, or international equivalent (IMechE, ICHemE);
• NER or Chartered Engineers Australia status (desirable)
• Experience of producing broad range of technical deliverables including: tendering packages, calculations, drawings etc.
• Preferred software experience: Caesar II, PV Elite, Microsoft Excel 
• LNG or energy transition experience (desirable),
• Project engineering experience (desirable).
• Excellent at multi-tasking, planning and organising
