The Opportunity
VicGrid is looking for an experienced Media and Communications professional who can support our work driving Victoria's transition to renewable energy.
Working in a fast-paced and issues rich environment, the Senior Media and Communications Adviser will have the full tool kit of communications skills across media, digital, messaging and issues management. We need someone with passion for storytelling and an eye for detail who can help us communicate the complexities of the energy sector in a simple and compelling way.
You will be part of a growing and supportive team of communications and engagement professionals who are committed to continuous improvement and making a difference by building support for the energy transition.

What you will deliver
- Engaging and accurate written content for a diverse range of audiences
- Clear and impactful multi-channel communication campaigns
- Responses to media queries and emerging issues to tight deadlines
- Proactive identification of risks and strategies to manage them
- Collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of VicGrid's program of work

- Your ability to communicate clearly and with impact
- Experience in a government or energy setting managing a diverse range of communications and media issues to tight deadlines
- Track record of quickly understanding the organisational and political environments in which you operate
- A solutions-focussed approach to your work, thinking about the wider business context when resolving issues
