This is an exciting new career for an experienced Network & Communications Specialist, where your unique skills will see you providing key advice and services in support of Guided Missile Destroyer Combat System Integrator (DDG CSI) maintenance activities.
The Senior Network & Communications Specialist is responsible for the technical design and build activities for of Guided Missile Destroyer Combat System Integrator (DDG CSI) project . This may include deploying, testing, configuration management and verifying ICT environments for the DDG – CSI Project. The role is required to collaborate with solutions architects, enterprise architects, and relevant subject matter experts to translate architectures and concept of operations documents into outcomes that meet the business needs. It also develops and delivers on cost and schedule estimates required by project management and prepares and maintains system and service documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- University Degree in Information and Communications Technology
- Linux Certified Engineer and Cisco Networking (CCDP) Routing and Switching, Collaboration, Cloud and Security.
- Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of network administration.
- Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business
- Familiarity and experience in the development and delivery of defence systems and products.
- Experience in designing and deploying enterprise networks, switches, firewalls, wireless, communication, collaboration, and gateway services, alongside experience in designing and deploying the monitoring and management systems.
- Proven experience in collaborating with globally distributed cross-functional / matrix project teams comprising highly skilled subject matter experts and external consultants.
