About our role:
WGA undertake pavement designs across a broad range of projects, including for local and state governments, defence, private developers and infrastructure owners
With a large workload in new flexible pavement design and pavement rehabilitation designs on roads and highways, we also undertake designs for industrial pavements, ports and marine facilities and other heavy duty applications as well as for rigid pavements and landscaping projects.
About you:
- Highly proficient in flexible pavement design and rehabilitation, particularly to state authority requirements
- Ideally experienced in rigid pavement, block pavement and stabilised pavement designs
- Ideally experienced at assessing condition data on existing roads, including deflectograph data
- Proficient at using CIRCLY 7.0, HIPAVE, FAARFIELD, BPA and AfPA Pavement design methods and software
- Able to produce clear and succinct design reports and technical specifications.
- Experienced in construction verification and construction support within the pavements space
- Demonstrated ability to work closely and collaboratively with clients and contractors to identify constructable and best for use pavement designs that are site specific and meets the needs of the client and end user
- Sound project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
- Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of pavement projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Experience across highways, industrial, maritime and/or airfields sectors would be highly regarded
