Our client requires a Senior Payroll person to assist the finance team in a busy growing company
The role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- End to end processing of fortnightly payroll for one of the business units
- Coordinate with onsite schedulers to ensure payroll rosters are accurate prior to payroll processing;
- Ensuring pay runs are calculated in accordance with relevant awards/Enterprise Agreement rates, allowances and higher duties changes
- Management of the payroll inbox and point of contact for all payroll queries and escalation;
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax and PAYG compliance and payments;
- Ensure timely and accurate Superannuation compliance and payments;
- Payroll and headcount reporting to business unit accountants monthly;
- Ensuring accurate leave entitlements are being maintained and reported
- Assisting with workers compensation declarations and claim processing;
- Calculation of redundancies and terminations, ensuring appropriate tax treatment is applied;
- Preparation of other entitlement payments and support;
- Support the finance month end process through the provision of accurate month end reports;
- Provide accounting and administrative support to finance;
- Support human resources with relevant administration; and
- Ad Hoc projects as required
- Processing end of month payroll journals
- Monthly and annual payroll tax lodgements to relevant states revenue authorities including east coast
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Experience in payroll
- A thorough knowledge of payroll
- Good excel skills
