AddressAn open opportunity for a diligent and detail oriented Senior Payroll Officer to join a busy team on the Lower North Shore. You will be reporting into the Payroll Manager and working in a small team, on a fortnightly payroll. Each team member is valued for their individual contribution to the team, and you will be assisting the Payroll Manager leading the pay-run and guiding the team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- End to Payroll: New starters, Bank changes, Super, Salary increases, allowances and deductions, terminations
- Administration/follow up of fortnightly timesheets
- Administration of fortnightly payroll reports including reconciliation and preparation of payments and reports.
- Assist with the calculation and payment of termination payments
- Assist with the administration of PAYG, Super and Third-Party payments
- Assist with reviewing audit reports for each payroll, following up any discrepancies
- Preparation of Reports
- Support preparation of payroll reports as required
- Support reconciliation of fortnightly payroll reports/data for accurate submission via STP
- Support reconciliation of annual payroll reports/data
- A minimum of 3 years (or equivalent) demonstrated related experience in a similar position.
- Experience with payroll systems (Chris21 is advantageous)
- Experience with Time and Attendance systems
- Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures.
- Strong administrative and procedural skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Maturity and confidence to deal with confidential and/or sensitive information.
