Senior Payroll Officer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Payroll Officer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, and adhering to the client’s health and safety policies.
 
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Assist in reviewing and resolving Payroll Officers' queries.
• Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring all data entered into all internal systems is current, accurate, and retains high integrity.
• Handle manual pay adjustments, process various forms of leave, calculate and prepare terminations, and ensure accurate timekeeping and costing.
• Notify and manage overpayments and employment separation advices.
• Review and adjust HRIS reports and queries, focusing on accurate payroll data related to shifts, rates, leave, deductions, etc.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to verify and resolve payroll issues.
• Participate in cross-training, provide leave relief, and deliver efficient service regarding employee changes and queries.

 
Experience and Skills Required:

• Previous experience in payroll or finance, with supervisory experience being an added advantage.
• A high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work both unsupervised and within a team, showing initiative.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working under various awards and agreements preferred.
