We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer/Assistant Payroll Manager.
WSP is embarking on a large digital transformation. We are looking for someone who is tech-savvy and can introduce new ways of working. In-depth payroll experience, excellent organisational skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment servicing a large payroll and specialized technical knowledge of iChris are essential.
This is a role requiring specialized knowledge of iChris.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Actively contribute to Payroll integration/improvement projects
- Introduce new ways of working leveraging technology to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with various department managers on payroll-related initiatives
- Handle payroll queries promptly
- Accurately enter data into the payroll system
- Issue and record adjustments to pay-related issues and advise of any discrepancies.
- Efficiently record employee information such as exemptions, transfers, contact details and resignations
- Process all allowances, deductions, benefits and superannuation entitlements.
- Assist with superannuation and STP reporting
- Handle payroll queries
- Assist the People Team where applicable
What we will love about you
To be successful in this role you are likely to possess or be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the following areas:
- Minimum 5 years experience in payroll
- Strong technology skills
- Previous in-depth experience using iChris
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to guide and support the team
- Customer-focused, Positive Attitude and Self Motivated
