The APVMA’s People and Culture team is seeking applications for a Senior People Operations Officer to assist in the delivery and enhancement of a range of operational HR services, including employee relations, recruitment and selection and executive reporting. Your application may also be used to offer employment to additional positions in 2024.
Under limited direction, the position plays a key role in ensuring the organisation’s People and Culture practices are legislatively robust and in line with contemporary practices. The position will also contribute to the team’s handling of complex and sensitive employee-related matters, including performance management disputes, workplace complaints, investigations, and review of actions.

Our Ideal Candidate / Selection criteria
To be considered for these roles you will need the following essential criteria: * Demonstrated experience working across a diverse range of human resources functions.
- Solid understanding of APS workplace practices, including legislation, policies, and frameworks.
- Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to the development of policies and strategies based on modern HR practices.
- Effective interpersonal skills that foster trust and cooperation, and a proven ability to work effectively and with integrity.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resource Management, or a related qualification from a recognised University.
