Pharmacy services are provided across all West Moreton Health clinical services including Ipswich Hospital, the rural hospitals, outpatient and community services, forensic and secure services and the prison health service. Ipswich Hospital provides a medication service for patients from Medical, Surgical, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Orthopaedic, Paediatric patients as well as some specialty areas such as Renal, Cardiac, Oncology and Neonatal services.

About the role
The medical admissions pharmacist will provide complex pharmaceutical care for patients, optimising their medicines and ensuring the effective transfer of care. The position functions with a high degree of independence providing clinical intervention and advice, workflow organisation and service development. This role offers the successful applicant an opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic, progressive team rapidly expanding to incorporate the challenges and opportunities within the digital landscape.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice and knowledge of hospital pharmacy service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement and provide clinical supervision to personnel. History of working effectively with other people as a member of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to develop, lead and supervise projects and audits that support pharmacy service objectives.
- Ability to actively participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes, and work practices, related to service improvement in the Medical Admissions Unit
Mandatory Requirements:

- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia.
