Closing Date: 11:30pm, Saturday 25 May 2024About the OpportunityThe Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer supports the Small Business Commissioner by developing policy outcomes, undertaking research, contributing to legislative reform and project work, preparation of written reports, briefings and responses to correspondence and ministerials; and providing high-level strategic analysis and policy advice on issues affecting the small business community.About the BusinessThe office of the South Australian Small Business Commissioner (SASBC) is an independent statutory Office of the South Australian Government.The functions of the office are to:Facilitate alternative dispute resolution processes between small businesses, and between small businesses and state or local government.Advocate on behalf of the small business community, or a section of it, regarding collective issues.Collaborate with stakeholders and engage with small businesses to provide information and guidance.Regulate by administering and enforcing legislative powers and responsibilities assigned to the Small Business Commissioner.Deliver a fair, timely and consistent services to, and on behalf of, South Australian small businesses.For more information about the Attorney-General’s Department and also SASBC, please visit https://www.agd.sa.gov.au/ andSpecial Conditions for EmploymentEmployment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
