Role DetailsThe Senior Policy Officer is responsible for contributing to the development of high quality policy initiatives, analysis and advice on issues of interest to the Premier and Cabinet. Senior Policy Officer roles may be available in a range of areas, including social and economic policy, strategy, data analytics, intergovernmental and diplomatic relations and security and emergency management.
Employment from this pool can be to an AS05 ($83,273 - $92,614) or AS06 ($95,588 - $101,109) Senior Policy Officer Position.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours may be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
- This role requires a National Police Clearance.
- Applications from those wishing to work less than full-time hours will be considered, subject to team requirements (e.g. timeframes associated with servicing Cabinet meetings).
- The incumbent may be required to participate in the State Crisis Centre during exercises and incidents and may be required to obtain a National Security Clearance to the level of Secret
- Multiple positions available.
