Role Details
The Senior Governance and Policy Officer is a role within Screening Unit and is accountable to the Manager, Policy for:
• Undertaking complex research, analysis, and Policy advice on a range of screening and public sector policy and administration matters that support the Screening Unit to meet its statutory obligations.
• Developing high level policy and governance advice through research, analysis, consultation and the drafting of high-quality written material including briefings, reports, operational policies, templates and Cabinet submissions.
• Coordination and input into policy development, Governance and implementation of projects managed by the Policy team.
• Drafting of briefings and responses to Ministerial and other correspondence under limited direction.
• Identifying, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders across DHS and the SA Public Sector.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Tertiary qualification in politics, law or other related disciplines is desirable.
Role Status: This advertisement is for 2 positions: one position is ongoing and the other position is a term contract (up to 12 months)
Salary Range: $97,022-$102,626 (ASO6)
