Sandringham Ambulatory Care Centre (SACC) operates a number of services within the healthcare sector, they include GP services which support the Emergency Department diversion of the Alfred hospital.
We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Practice Nurse part time for our clinics based in Prahran and Frankston.
About the opportunity
As the Senior Practice Nurse you will work across a 7 day roster 8am - 3pm or 3pm - 10pm.
The Senior Practice Nurse works with a GP attending to ambulatory patients that present to the emergency department, typically falling in triage categories 4 and 5.
Essential criteria:
- Experience in a leadership role as Senior Practice Nurse
- General Practice and/or Emergency Experience
- Ability to train new and existing staff
- Excellent time and organisational management skills
- Participate in quality improvement activities and assist with achieving these goals
- Patient-focused and adaptable
- Team player
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current National Police and Working with Children Checks
- COVID-19 Vaccinated
- Permanent Australian residents or hold a current, valid working visa
Desirable criteria:
- Plaster casting experience
- Cannulation
- Experience in and a sound working knowledge of Best Practice software
- Understand and abide by infection prevention
- Knowledge of cold chain
