Senior Procurement OfficerKingston Human Capital has been engaged by one of Queensland’s leading Government Departments to engage an experienced Senior Procurement Officer (AO6). This is a six-month contract with a likely further extension.This role is primarily responsible for sourcing, management of specialised equipment, general goods and services, ICT contracts as well as support to the Facilities and Capital Infrastructure team in their sourcing activities in accordance with the QLD Procurement Policy.
Your key duties in this role will include the following:
- Lead and deliver end-to-end procurement requirements on multiple key projects.
- Develop and negotiate contracts for various categories of spend, including planning, specification development, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award.
- Provide expert advice on specifications, evaluating offers, contract management and/or administration, supply market analysis and other general procurement activities.
- Develop and negotiate contracts that are required without a procurement process (MOU's, SLA's and other contracts)
- Demonstrate dedication to procurement best practices and excellence
- Possess excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Procurement experience within Queensland State Government would be highly advantageous

- An hourly rate of $71.67 + superannuation.
