Role Overview:
The Senior Procurement Manager will lead the procurement function and work closely with the Chief Finance Officer to ensure alignment between Warrigal's business needs and our partnerships. This involves formalising relationships through Contracts and Memorandums of Understanding, overseeing ongoing partnerships, conducting tender processes to onboard new partners, and monitoring contractual obligations and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Source products and services aligned with goals, implement preferred supplier process, and ensure procurement compliance.
- Contract and Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with a focus on service and sustainability, maintain key supplier relationships, and evaluate based on environmental impact.
- Innovation and Efficiency Initiatives: Implement efficient measures, promote innovation for core support, and identify innovative suppliers.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Introduce risk management framework, oversee contract performance, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Stakeholder Engagement: Consult on procurement priorities, maintain stakeholder relationships, and represent Warrigal in procurement forums
- Training and support: Provide training on contractor management, and coordinate with vendor.
- Strategic Planning and Reporting: Support CFO in defence line model, prepare risk reporting, and review product due diligence
Ideal Candidate:
- Educational Background:
- Must possess relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience (business systems, contracting, purchasing).
- Experience Requirements:
- Extensive experience undertaking tender processes following strict guidelines
- Demonstrated experience in delivering procurement projects on time and within budget
- Strong track record in developing and reviewing commercial contracts and memorandums of understanding
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
