About the opportunity
This position reports to the Commercial Director. Key Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and maintain procurement and supplier management policies and frameworks in conjunction with the Commercial Director and key stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain and improve all procurement and supplier management processes and procedures to ensure efficient and responsiveness of procurement services.
- Implement and maintain procurement systems to support the efficient operation of procurement services for the organisation.
- Support and advocacy of key strategic sourcing best practice processes, systems, and tools.
- Maintaining knowledge of contemporary trends and developments in procurement and contract management
- Lead the change management and transformation associated with the implementation of new procurement practices across the organisation.
- Lead a team of one to support governance and compliance; systems enablement; and reporting and analytics.
- 7+ years’ experience in procurement, contract management, procurement operations required.
- Experience in developing and embedding procurement policies and procedures.
- Experience in leading a project that has delivered on time and on budget.
- Strong working knowledge of best practice procurement principles including sourcing, procurement, and contract management.
- Strong understanding of contract management and contract law
- Ability to interpret financial statements, develop pricing frameworks and funding mechanisms.
- Working knowledge of business process excellence principles
- Working knowledge of effective compliance and performance frameworks
