Senior Procurement Officer

Fixed Term/Permanent - Full time* 38 hoursSalary: Band 7 - $101,432.08 to $113,228.93 pro rata + 11 % superannuation*Role includes an RDOWe are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer who is looking for career growth and to test their skills in an evolving environment.This is a great opportunity for someone with a procurement/finance background and several years of experience in government procurement.What you’ll be working on

• Provide advice to and assist the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts in relation to the development of Council’s procurement and tendering framework.
• Provide advice and assist the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts in relation to strategic procurement and contracts support.
• Partner with stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational objectives.
• Provide advice to Project Managers in relation to Council’s Tender processes.
• Supervise the Procurement Officers responsible for tendering and procurement administration to deliver quality customer service, best practice, and compliance.

What you need to succeedCandidates with a procurement/finance background and several years of experience in government procurement would be ideally suited to the role. * Highly motivated professional who is multiskilled in the areas of procurement and contracts, with an ability to find solutions through collaboration and good communication.

• Sound understanding of procurement/tendering processes, sourcing strategies and end to end tenders management.
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a supportive and team environment to constructively support the delivery of team and organisation-wide outputs.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated problem-solving skills and with the ability to think strategically.
• Some experience in leading a small team would be advantageous.
