The Senior Procurement Project Officer will collaborate department-wide and with external stakeholders to develop effective procurement strategies, create high-quality documentation and contracts, and maintain strong relationships with internal divisions. Additionally, they will lead the management of significant commercial relationships and project manage the lifecycle of commercial projects, including engagement, deployment, and disengagement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Undertake end-to-end procurement processes, adhering to government and departmental policies and frameworks.
- Manage commitments and resolving discrepancies in contracts, establishing clear roles and expectations with suppliers, negotiating key performance indicators, and resolving disputes and manage procurement-related risks
- Maintain productive relationships with suppliers and negotiate key performance indicators
- Monitor consistent project/program reporting, communicates to relevant parties, and manages complex interdependencies
- Influence and Negotiation: Uses persuasion and negotiation skills to influence key stakeholders
- Project Management: Ensures project objectives are met by producing detailed project plans, identifying logical next steps and monitoring the progress of project team members
- Stakeholder management: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships
