Senior Procurement Officer

Reporting directly to our Head of Procurement, as a  Senior Procurement Officer you will be responsible for driving purchasing initiatives, supporting internal departments, and maintaining and developing supplier relationships. Based in our Production facility in Karawatha, each and every day you'll work to identify qualified and reliable vendors within our end-to-end tender process, as well as review and negotiate to align to business savings. 

• Work closely with the Product Development & Operations Teams to ensure product innovation targets are met
• Analyse and interpret demand forecasts and changes to ensure ‘in stock’ position at all times –across business divisions
• Apply logic to maintain lowest cost for products/materials – linked to matrix pricing offerings
• Raise purchase orders as required
• Consistently engage internal stakeholders on change, version control & consumption rates of materials
• Monitor order expenses as well as assisting in the management of all budget and optimization activities
• Weekly stocktaking category management and data entry
• Track delivery performance
• Highlight risks and opportunities linked to supply status & changing demand
• Communicate supplier performance and cost variation/s to management
• Recommend new processes or systems for improvement; implement new ideas and strategies
   

• Prior experience working in a busy environment as a Senior Purchasing Officer/Buyer, within FMCG
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
• A strong background in inventory management
• Demonstrated a high level of attention to detail
• High levels of resilience, professionalism, and work ethic
