In this role, you'll:

Play a pivotal role in leading the multi-year project delivery stream of one of NSW’s largest technology programs – the Opal Next Generation Program (ONG). Be a part of delivering a once in a lifetime, transformative project that’ll impact 2 million passenger journeys a day, seamlessly enhancing the customer experience, making it more effective and efficient.

Report to the Program Director, ONG and provide project leadership and management of the overall schedule of work streams relating to the planning, implementation, cost, scope, governance and risk management of the project.

Direct the coordination of all work streams through the full transformation life-cycle, including modelling and planning, business engagement and facilitation of workshops, business and change readiness activities and supporting the implementation of systems transition, governance forums and reporting. Additionally, the role will lead and manage the overall quality and implementation of the program across the transport business and ensure compliance, assurance, and adherence to required frameworks.

Provide leadership and direction to a variable number of indirect delivery team reports in a matrix reporting line context, to achieve the Program’s objectives and facilitate ongoing development, team wellbeing and engagement.

Fixed term full-time opportunity to June 2027| Hybrid work mixing in-person days with WFH - Office based Sydney CBD.

About you

You’re a tenacious, hands-on, self-starting leader seeking a new role with real impact! You possess:

• Demonstrated leadership, project management skills and full life cycle technology program experience to deliver successful outcomes meeting client requirements.

• Experience in designing, analysing and presenting qualitative and quantitative concise project data to deliver large and complex organisational transformational technology programs.

• Proficiency in managing and developing stakeholder and team relationships to capture and engage skills, knowledge, and capabilities to enhance project outcomes.

• Ability to build trust, influence and communicate effectively on strategic and operational matters with senior stakeholders, vendors and team members at all levels applying a commercial and customer centric mindset.
