We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to join our dynamic team and lead our projects with expertise and vision.
The Role: As a Senior Geologist you will play a pivotal role in our exploration and development projects. This hands-on position requires a blend of technical geological skills and project management capabilities, enabling you to oversee projects from conception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geological exploration and development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Conduct and supervise fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, and drilling programs.
- Interpret geological data and integrate it with geophysical, geochemical, and remote sensing information to develop robust geological models.
- Manage project teams, including mentoring junior staff and coordinating with contractors and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the company's overall strategy and goals.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mineral exploration and development, with a proven track record in a similar role.
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing budgets and timelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in geological modeling software and GIS tools.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote field locations.
