Roster: Monday to Friday
Leading the delivery of a portfolio of projects covering all aspects of the acquisition, management, and end to end delivery of commercial office fit outs, light industrial (warehouse / workshops), and greenfield development projects. In carrying out all tasks and duties, the Senior Project Manager is to act in a professional manner and display the Fortescue values at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the Project delivery (projects can range from small to large complex projects)
- Manage the project team (including Assistant PM & PM as applicable) to complete day-to-day tasks
- Act as the primary point of contact for Project Sponsors and the Manager of Projects Group
- Manage the creation and tracking of allocated project cash flows within approved budgets
- Feasibility analysis and management of appropriate due diligence reporting
- Project reporting, including reporting against project financial and performance metrics of project deliverables in addition to risk items relating to cost, time and quality
- Manage the development of design briefs, tenders and contract documentation to facilitate procurement of project teams
- Management of design teams through design phases to ensure designs meet time cost and quality parameters
- Manage the preparation of construction contracts (where applicable)
- Manage the overseeing of the construction process and provide the stakeholder relevant feedback as required
- Manage the procurement of contractors via various procurement methodologies
- Management of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase
- Manage the co-ordination of Value Engineering phase where necessary
- Manage the timely processing of progress claims and invoices
- Management of defect liability periods and handover
- Previous fit-out/refurbishment experience
- Experienced in supporting the delivery of complex, large-scale projects with multiple consultancies and stakeholders.
- A proven track record (5-7+ years) of delivering projects on time and on budget, with a high attention to detail.
- Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects (including feasibility, design management, town planning, tendering and contract administration) with a focus of identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes.
- Strong understanding of Australian legislation, Australian building standards and council regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and practice of health and safety guidelines during the delivery of projects.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a project delivery team as required.
- Formalisation of scope, execution of contracts and budget monitoring is critical.
- Review and understand architectural/engineering drawings, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
- A dynamic team-player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, committed to delivering outcomes under tight timeframes
- Competent in MS Office, MS Project and Excel.
