Our Company:
BJEI Australia was established in 2021 to build and operate a significant portfolio of clean energy projects across Australia. Sister company, BJCE Australia was formed in 2017, and currently has an operational 284MW clean energy portfolio.
Together, BJEI Australia and BJCE Australia have an interest in over 2GW of renewable energy generation and storage assets that are planned, under construction or in operation across three states, NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
BJEI Australia aims to build a 3GW portfolio of clean energy assets by 2025 and 6GW by 2030, with the intention of listing on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2024.
Since BJCE’s first investment in Australia in 2014, the Company has prioritised care and respect for the communities and environments where its projects are located.

About the Role:
Due to the growth of the business, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to overseeing the construction of our current and upcoming projects.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Lead all aspects of the Construction including Project Management, Contracts Management, Planning, Site Management, Compliance and Project Controls offices to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Ensure a holistic view of construction projects is maintained, including such areas as legislative and development approval compliance, community, health and safety, local stakeholder views and company reputation, as well as on-site works.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks by implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Prepare project execution plans, including budgets, schedules, resourcing plans, outsourcing strategies and procurement methodologies, in order to mitigate project risks.
- Negotiate key construction contracts.
- Effectively manage contractors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Drive projects toward successful completion within specified timelines and within budget.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and other project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide assistance to business development team during project acquisitions.
Who we are looking for:
- Relevant renewable education background, together with a minimum of 6 years relevant construction project management experience.
- Multiple years’ experience in delivering utility-scale renewable construction projects. Ideally experience from pre-construction (moving project to a shovel ready state), through contract negotiation, site mobilization, construction, commissioning and successful operation.
- Adept at navigating challenges and finding solutions.
- Skilled in identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire the project team.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing contracts, budgets, and financial aspects of projects.
- Experience dealing with contractor claims.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across a wide variety of stakeholders.
