About the Role
John Holland is looking for experienced and ambitious Senior Project Managers with exposure to Road, Civil, and Structural Engineering. The projects will focus on large scale Road, Bridge and Highway construction within the Sydney area, varying in size from 500 million to over a Billion in value.
As an experienced Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of pre contracts, delivery of the project, including staff and subcontractor management, safety, quality and interacting with the client.
Ideally you will have significant experience working as a Project Manager on major civil infrastructure projects along with specific experience in roads, highways, bridges and/or utility projects within Tier 1 organisations.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Project Manage and collaborate on design, tender, precontracts and delivery of large scale, complex civil/road infrastructure projects
Maintaining effective connections with clients, consultants, and subcontractors by communicating with stakeholders
Provide timely provision of business-critical management information including project expenditure and outputs, forecasts, milestones and accomplishments
Develop, lead and motivate your team throughout the project, working towards best practice project management standards and meet all regulatory and statutory requirements
Ensuring the project is adequately resourced to deliver on all aspects of financial reporting, management, and forecasting

To be successful in this key role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management
Demonstrated experience in a similar Project Manager position or be more than ready to step up into a leadership role.
An understanding of the civil construction industry with a focus on roads, bridges and highways is desirable
Proven experience in leading teams through the delivery of large scale civil construction projects
Advanced financial and commercial management including cost reduction and meeting budgets
Successful construction management of multidisciplinary projects from a wide range of contract values and complexity
