The Opportunity:
Techforce has partnered with an industry leader in the Civil and Mining space to assist in building and developing their project management leadership team. Our prestigious Client is specifically looking for a project manager with lengthy experience in dynamic and fast paced environments as well as specialised experience in running large-scale Civil, Construction and Earthworks projects.
Job Responsibilities:
As Project Manager, you will be the one who can see the big picture of what the projects’ needs are, you are the mastermind and the master juggler. We’ll need you to lead across the Contractor, Client and Stakeholder management. Managing and mentoring a team covering Engineering, Supervision and dedicated safety delivery while pushing the team across planning, contractor achievement and future project submissions (All while wrapping this up in MS Suites and MS Projects).
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Hiring and overseeing the projects team as well as managing the progress of the project and delegating the flow on tasks.
- Ensure communication of relevant project information between the teams.
- Proven experience developing and managing, project scope, duration, and budget for multiple projects.
- Proven experience in the contracts management including a high level estimation skillset as well as contract negotiation and sub-contractor management.
- Manage clients’ needs in a prompt, and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain transparent communications with construction manager, with particular focus on the status of the project as well as issues that can negatively impact the relationship with the client.
To be considered you must have:
You’ll have 6+ years of experience in a project manager or project engineer role with proven experience in Civil, Construction and Earthworks based Projects.
- The knowledge of the technical processes that are a part of Civil, NPI, Construction and Bulk Earthworks projects.
- Diploma or above in Project Management or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
- A well-rounded understanding of various improvement pathways and experience implementing various efficient delivery methods.
- Experience producing correspondence, written reports and instructions to a professional standard.
- Practical focus on safety throughout all stages of the project.
- Proven relationship management skills, with experience utilising organic business relationships to obtain new jobs, clients, and potential growth opportunities.
- Strong leadership skillset with experience displaying skillful communication, technical expertise, promotion of key business values and ability to mentor and coach employees.
